This 6.3-gram specimen is a sample of Rafsa 007, a plutonic Angrite. Scientifically, this class represents some of the oldest igneous material in the solar system, dating back to approximately 4.56 billion years. The specimen is characterized by a refractory composition strongly depleted in volatile elements, consisting of a crystallized assemblage of calcium-rich olivine and pyroxenes formed during the earliest stages of planetary differentiation.
